This website contains links to the two sections of this research project on the Asian Financial Crisis that struck Southeast Asia in 1997. The first section covers the background and causes of the Crisis, as well as analyses of monetary and fiscal policy during and after the crisis. Section two looks at the social and political impacts and consequences of the Crisis, as well as its international consequences. The second section also contains all the sources used for this project.
Notes on navigating this website: Navigation through the two section is the same: simply roll over your mouse to any of the area you wish to view, and you will automatically zoom in a subsection. Then click on any quadrant to view its content more closely, and click again to zoom out. You can hit the reset button on the lower left corner of the page to see all four subections, or you can use the buttons on the lower right corner to jump between sections. The flow of the essays is as follows: upper-left corner, upper-right, lower-left, lower-right (just to make sure that everything makes sense!)
